Malos

"What is Malos?Malos is a strategy game. Each level contains a set of red tags on a grid. As the player, you control a sphere on the grid. To beat a level you must move your sphere over each of the red tags and change the tag color to green. Each time you change a tag's color, an enemy sphere appears on the board and chases you. If an enemy touches you, you lose. The only defense against enemies are blue tags on the board which when hit by your spheremake the enemy spheres move away from you and if you can catch them they will be destroyed instead of you. What does 'Malos' mean?It doesn't really mean anything. When flipCode started it's lame game challenge, the idea for the game was created, with the title 'Emalos' (so lame spelled backwards.) After a few weeks of development it was decided that the game wasn't really lame and it was actually fun and addictive. The E was droped from 'Emalos' and the game was dubbed 'Malos.'What's needed to run Malos?Malos Requires A Pentium 233 or greater running Windows 95/98/2000, with a soundcard and 3D hardware that supports either OpenGL or Glide.OpenGL support is pretty slow, as it was the first OpenGL app I ever did.If you have a voodoo card, definiately choose glide over GL.
